OP TCG Hub — Privacy

Effective take 115, September 2026.

What the app collects

Nothing, itself. There is no account. Your collection, decks, portfolios and photos live on your phone and in a backup file in your phone's Documents folder. The app does not send them anywhere and has no server to send them to.

The camera

The camera is used to read the printed number on a card. The photo it takes stays on the device as that card's picture in your collection. Nothing from the camera leaves the phone.

Ads

The app shows short rewarded ads from Google AdMob, which you choose to watch to unlock saves. To serve them, AdMob collects your device's advertising ID and related device identifiers and shares them with Google and its advertising partners. This is the only data that leaves the phone, and it goes to Google, not to us. Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings at any time.

Where the law asks for it (the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's own message before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under More → Privacy choices for ads. If no ad is available, what you were saving is saved anyway.

Prices, Hunt and card images

Prices and the card catalogue come from TCGplayer via TCGCSV. The project's build fetches them and publishes them on its GitHub Pages site, and the app downloads them from there as one file when you sync. Hunt's stock, distributor and event files come from the same site; the zip code you give Hunt stays on the phone and is used there to work out distances. Reference card images are fetched from TCGplayer's image server when shown and are not stored. None of these requests carries an identifier from the app. A link to a seller or an event opens that site in your browser, under its own policy.

Playing a friend online is the one time the app talks to a server of this project's: a relay that holds a match's six-character code, a token per seat, the two deck lists and the moves, and forgets all of it a day after the match's last move. It reads no account, no name and nothing from your collection, and it is only spoken to while you host or join a match. A build with no relay configured shows no such feature.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

This page is versioned with the app; the take number above changes when it does.
